Gardening (powder lime) will burn your plant roots, I would not recommended it for container gardening. Try adding perlite or sand perhaps.

Never Lime potatoes, ever!!! I don't know what you are planting but Tomatoes and Potatoes are related plants. Your Gardening soil may be all that is needed. I would suggest a fertilizer when watering or a pellet added to soil like Osmocote in your mixture. Lime in Container gardening is not wise. A proper potting soil might be best. That said you should be fine without adding lime to your mixture, and feeding your plants.
