Persil Pods

I bought some a few weeks ago. They are the original ones, not the newer advertised 2 in 1 that were mentioned in a post this past week. My question is what do I use them on and what NOT to use them on?

a friend from work recently bought some pods, because she always hears me talking about detergents, and she loves them.

I have purchased the Persil pods several times. The original batches were called Pro-Caps and the newer/current offering is Power-Caps.

They smell the same, but Pro-Caps were very, very sudsy for me.

Power-Caps are amazing!!! They clean so well, and if the load it medium sized and in need of a washing or a nice, large load...sudsing is quite low and rinsing is easy and clear!! They clean like gangbusters and the scent is perfection!!!

I use them on our daily clothes, our son's clothes, sheets, towels, blankets, etc... Basically everything, except whites. These are not for whites, as they do not have oxi bleach or an activator, like Persil Pearls or Grab Green pods.

Thanks Larsi for the info that the Persil pods are not for whites. That's one thing I was wondering about. Do you think GG is too strong for colors then, if you recommend them for whites?

Rococo, thanks so much for the offer but I do have a supply. I love the vetivar scent! I have the gardenia but don't care so much for that, even though gardenia is one of my favorite scents. Do you use the GG for colors? Or just for whites? I currently am only using Le Blanc for my sheets thanks to you. It is absolutely the best scent and so unusual!

i have a fare amount of detergents, so at a silly work party several weeks ago we gave white elephant gifts. One dear coworker got a bag of GG from me, in Vetivar scent. He's the biggest cheapskate (and the 1st to admit it) he'd never buy it for himself. I hope he loves it. He has medium colored clothing for work, so I hope it's fine. He has a top loader so I think he'll need 2 pods for a load, cause I doubt he would do small loads, lol.

I use GG on the whites and light colors. Haven't tried Vetiver as yet but will do so soon. I like the Gardenia (though it's just a sweet floral) and the Lavender-Vanilla.

I use the German Persil for colors liquid for colors but it gets very sudsy and when it's gone I won't replace. But must confess I have light and then black clothes -- I'm not really someone who washes colors.

I also have the GG delicate so that should work well for colors on the rare occasion it's needed. I do synthetics but those are usually black as well. New Yorkers are just that way.

Still love my Perls for any tough jobs. And, like you, I love the LeBlanc for bed sheets. I also find it good for the linen sheets. So glad you like it too. I used it this weekend to remove some very faint old stains from sheets and pillowcases. Just rubbed it in with a little bit of warm water. Magic. Love, love.

I've been using the gg for colors with no issues. All types of colors and fabrics. No fading. Only thing I haven't used them on regularly is blacks and navy's, but a dark item has been mixed in occasionally with a color load and it was fine.

Sadly I can't use GG too much carbonates leaving a residue on my washer.
