Definitely my vote is for this cherry table with a contemporary twist. I think it would be perfect for the chairs I THINK YOU HAVE. Make sure your cab hardware is appropriate.

which of these tables will look best with the aluminum chairs above. Remember I have cherry cabinets. Thanks to all. As you can see I am on a budget!! Especially b/c I have to buy 6 chairs too and trying to keep it less $ but want it to look nice.

I like the second one for its simple lines, and I like the third one because both its top and its legs offer different finishes from the cherry cabinets you have. The second one is more contemporary and the third one is more traditional. What style is your kitchen?

It is not necessary for the table to match your cabinets. In fact it might be better if it didn't as I find it more interesting to be mismatched. That's why you see so many kitchen islands done in a different finish and with a different countertop than the wall cabinets.

I would choose the table with the white legs and light wood top. The legs will go nicely with the white wood of your window seat, and the light wood color works well with the granite on the island. The style is also quite compatible with your kitchen.

interesting--forgive me b/c i am naive about this--i used to have a farm table but all light wood (same top as the farm table shown) and I sold it b/c i didnt think it matched. Are you a decorator? I was going to go with the middle one b/c it matched the cabinets but love others opinions b/c i need more "fashion sense"

I am a professional interior designer with 33 years of experience and a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers. However, if you will feel more comfortable with a cherry type table, I will throw out another idea for you. Paint your island white and buy the cherry table. You need some variety in the room and the white island will give you that.

It would be nice if some other professionals and non professionals gave us their opinions. But you must realize funjodi that there is no one single correct answer.

I just noticed the table you have now. Hard to see in the pix, but what do you not like about that table with the aluminum chairs? If you kept that, added the chairs, changed your cab hardware to the same finish as the chairs and painted your walls more of a silver gray, I think that would look good.

i actually dont like this table..paint is chipping and having hard time with it. store is taking it back. i did see those chairs. they are an option as well. very similar to the others and a better price point. thx

Be careful to look at the dimensions of the chairs you buy. The overstock chair is only 16" wide. I can't tell what size the others are.

the others are 15.5
