Bathroom floor plan help

We are creating a bathroom from scratch and need some help determining where to put the soaker tub and vanity or vanities.

Each square equals a foot.

A pocket doors will be installed for the entrance.

We are including a Sauna, walk in shower, 2 sinks (open to double sink vanity or separate vanities), and a 72" freestanding tub.

Hi TJ... I think ACM was trying to say that the doors to get in/out of the sauna and in/out of the shower are the issues. The sauna door will be right in front of the toilet so won't be able to swing fully out. the shower door will have to be on the same side you've drawn your pocket door on and so there will be no recessed space in the wall for the pocket door to slide into.

Maybe it's me that's confused but that's the problem I see.

Almost no options, given the need to have walkways. Your vanity probably needs to go even smaller than this...

No, this is better, sorry I was too quick on the trigger. Plumbing will be a bit crazed, though -- hope you have a lower level so there's room to get the waste lines linked up...

Note that the space between your shower and sauna is tight enough that it will be hard to come up with a reasonable door for the former -- my vanity placement makes that worse but it's a problem from the start. If the door swings both in and out you'll probably be ok, but tight on both ends. I don't see how your entry door can possibly be a pocket door under any of these circumstances, though!!

Where I have walls for the shower, currently there are none. So we'll build the wall to accommodate the door. The sauna isn't there either; I just drew it there due to making the most sense. Since the sauna creates a hallway to the toilet, we aren't planning in a door.

This is a basement, so we'll be ripping up the flooring for waste.

You're right just_jls, and I misread the previous post.

The great thing is the sauna will be custom, so we can play with dimensions to make a more functional space.

Horrible. You're over stuffing the room. Give up the free stand tub. It will be impossible to clean around .

Why not put the sauna where you drew the shower and toilet and then come up with a better layout for the other space? I think you could eliminate the door issues then.

consider this: sauna where you have the shower and toilet, bathtub left of that, then shower. toilet as drawn below or rotated 90º, with vanities along the wall opposite the bathtub

You could have sauna and shower one after the other..move the toilet where you have the bump now for the bench..There is this long bathroom that has a sauna after the shower

Looks like a rectangular-shape corner sauna. Excellent choice!

I would forgo the sauna. Instead, opt for a steam/shower combo. Provides the same effect and it will save you space and money.
