April rain starting

Rain expected here for the week, just when the apple blossoms are blooming, too bad maybe some will make it to apples. My mature 10 year old Meyers lemon tree in the ground is suffering from the cold winter we had this year no blossoms, some new leaves hope it comes back . Herbs such as sage are blooming, this is a first for me , they are beautiful, i have already harvested some thyme for drying now i will let it grow for use as fresh thyme. pea pods and strawberries are starting to blossom, dill, chives, yerba buena mint,and cilantro are up, hope the rain doesn't beat them up , harvested cabbage yesterday and made stuffed cabbage. I like the rain but too much at one time .not great

    Raining on the Peninsula again tonight. Rained a little this morning and a couple of times last week too. I'm glad I don't have to water, but all the new growth is starting to look a little bent over and bedraggled. I'm pretty sure I lost some drought tolerant plants to flooding and root rot.
