Macrame plant holders do not sound like they would go in your new, sophisticated bedroom. I think wood would look nice for end tables, but because your bed is so simple, you have a wide variety of choice in nightstands. Here are some ideas:

What a gorgeous bed! I would go with wood night tables and no macrame (sorry!)

No macrame anything with that bed and I like the wood night tables and I would look for some luxe bedding and then add some color with the drapes and throw.

Thanks everyone - noted, no macrame!! I'd like to keep everything very light - white bedding and light decorations.

For a wooden bedside table, would you suggest white or light wood?

Either could work -- just depends on the feel you want.

Wood finish or painted depending on your preference.
