Yes accent walls are great for a added punch carrying that color to the ceiling could bring drama to a small space. Go a several shades lighter for the other 3 walls. The carpet sounds a bit dark but you never know by a color name. Solid dark carpet can be a pain to keep it looking clean. Shows lint etc. Can you post a carpet pic ? Pics of all things can help .

A couple of great neutral that looks amazing with gray are HC-172 Revere Pewter and HC-173 Edgecomb Gray both from Benjamin Moore

My ceiling is yellow and my walls are taupe. I love the colors. Unfortunately, I just bought new family room furniture ( a camel hair color.) The furniture color has now changed the wall color. It has a pink/purple tint I really don't want to change all the walls.

I was thinking of just changing the one wall. Will download pics. Any suggestions for a color would be wonderful. By the way, this room has only
skylights. To get extra light I removed the mini blinds that were on the door.

This room also has six(6) doorways. That's right six.
