You sure you want marble in a kitchen?

Yes :) I've been researching for months just not sure if this is good pricing

Does the fabricator do good work? Does he have a great reputation? Then, it's not a bad price.

No amount of good price can make up for crappy work. Or, incorrect customer expectations about a material that will stain, etch, and chip as par for the course.

Thanks! I've seen many of those photos before but my heart is set on marble. I just wanted know if the price seemed resonable as i know carrera is one of the more inexpensive types of marble

That sounds in the "ball park" I just had about that much cararra white installed. We paid about $3000 before tax. It was on sale for $67 sqft at HD. There is a sink cut out charge and I also had an up charge for extra rounding on the inside of the sink and outside edges.

Thanks!! The quote we go was 3400 before tax so not far off from yours :)

@mdln that's great news glad to hear you're still happy :) would you be willing to share pics? I'm going to get one more quote

I have carrara on my vanity in the guest bath. It's roughly 1/3 smaller in size and cost about 1/3 the price you are being quoted. I live in the SF Bay Area and prices can be high. Now that I think about it, I bought half a slab but the carrara itself wasn't that expensive. I think you're getting an okay deal.

Thank you!

In 2013, I paid $3,950 for 53 sqf. of Carrara Marble installed with "easy edge" . I am in MA. It has been 4 years, and I still love my counters :)

Thanks oic! Any pics? :)

Here is one, taken this year.
