bathroom wall color

Here is the master bath, along with the accent tile and floor in the shower. The shower is to the right, just out of camera range.

The color strips shown are BM 2136, 2135 and 2123, going left to right. These looked the closest to the tile color, which is somewhat variegated.

Thoughts? TIA

    Hi Saypoint --

Man, beautiful bath; I love the tile.

IIRC you're in New England? If so, I'd go with whichever skews a bit more green than blue to help counteract winter light and make the space feel a bit warmer.

I've used something very similar to 2136/-35 (actually tweaked to a custom shade) and it is a lovely serene/spa shade. There's a reason that Restoration Hardware Light Silver Sage/Silver Sage paint color still sells (or gets knocked off)!

Yes I'm in CT. Would you go lighter, or more mid-tone? 2136 and 2123 are greener than 2135.

2135-50 if you want airy and the one below if you like darker. Love the tile in the first pic!

I'd just be happy if the room made me "feel" like it looks good, LOL.

I'd love to go with a green in here, it's my favorite color, but I'm feeling very bossed around by the tile. Paris Rain 1501? Spanish Olive 1509?

I don't think you should feel bossed around -- both the tiles have a lot of complexity to them. And the greens you mentioned are certainly shape-shifters but seem promising.

Lighting aside I can certainly picture your tile/vanity/counter with them.

Why not test a few of them, too?

Love the tile. I agree with leaning a little more green/blue instead of gray/blue. We just did a bathroom redo and used Palladian Blue HC-144 mixed half strength. Sorry I don't have a picture to show you (not our main home), but take a look for comparison with your other colors.

We have similar color accent tile in our bathroom in our beach cottage, and used BM Healing Aloe. I like it because it's a little blue, a little green, and a little gray (to my eyes).

I keep thinking about this thread...but can't really decide which I'd prefer, more green or more blue...each tone has it's own benefits but I think I'd lean more towards a very light or shear blue. I really love the light airy feel that blue offers. I never had an appreciation for it until I painted one of our rooms blue. Then I was in love and had to have it in our room as well. It's such a calming color and it would be really pretty with that gorgeous tile. If I had to choose, I'd probably go with the first or second lightest tone on the middle card. However since I like the idea of a pale green too, I'd probably bring a little bit of the green in with towels or accessories some how.

Of all of the samples I like the one on the far left second from the top.

Your bathroom is gorgeous! I typically lean more green blue. I always think of it as a warmer color than gray blue.

I doubt you can go wrong either way bc your bathroom is so beautiful any shade of blue will look great!

I keep waffling as to which I like best. I first liked 2123-60, but then I kept thinking it maybe should be lighter. I don't know, do you prefer a lighter bathroom or something that really brings out the color? If the former, then maybe look at the lighter 2123-50 or 2136-70.

Here's a test of BM summer shower 2135-60

    I think it's too light.
