Example of a classic freestanding bathtub design in Los Angeles

Pasadena Master Bath RemodelTraditional Bathroom, Los Angeles

The challenge for this project was that, while the homeowner desired all of the luxury amenities of a deluxe master bath, space was extremely limited. Therefore efficient space planning was critical in achieving the final design. Use of custom painted cabinetry and carrara marble countertops were the basis for this compact yet luxurious bathroom design. Careful attention was given to the tone of the finishes in order to keep this eastern-exposure bathroom light and bright. White trim and crown moulding was used in contrast to the putty colored walls. In keeping with the era of the home, a hand-glazed white ceramic subway tile was used in the soaking tub alcove. Nickel plated bath, lavatory, tub and shower fixtures in the vintage style were used alongside modern amenities such as recessed halogen lighting, electric towel warmers and radiant-heated tile flooring.

Beautiful bathroom. I see do different paint's identified for the cabinets and the walls. One reply says walls are Paris Rain and another says Metropolitan. For cabinets, one reply is Simply White, another is Oxford White. Can you clarify and also share the name of the trim color. Thanks very much!!

Hi Sharla , the tub used in this project was small, 60 inches long and 32 inches wide. It was set approximately 8 inches off the wall.

Hi Peter, the countertops in this space were polished calcatta oro marble. Calcatta oro typically has warmer tones (as compared with carrara) which was perfect in this setting.

Hi Cozy, I am sorry, we do not have more photos of this space. It was quite tight and we were only able to get one great shot.

Hi there and thank you for following us on Houzz. The flooring used in this project was a honed travertine field tile with an inset of a travertine mosaic.

Hi there, the mirror material was purchased from a mirror fabricator and was simply adhered to the wall and then framed in with drywall so the mirrors appeared to be 'inset' into the wall.

Hi there, this particular space was approximately 8' x 7' so we had to maximize the usable space with the space plan. Thank you for your compliment!
