Are you quilting this weekend? April 14-16

Good Morning Quilters!

This has been a very busy week for me. I worked on my UFO, Snapshots, earlier in the week. I have all the sashing done and the rows sewn. I'm ready to join the rows and add the borders. I was making lots of progress until about Wednesday. DD got sick and we have had to help out with the granddaughters. She had a CT scan but still doesn't have any answers on what is causing the pain. DS and family were planning to come this weekend but they are sick also. To top it all off, DH is scheduled for a colonoscopy next week and we had to go for an office appt. yesterday.

The only good thing to come out of all the activity is that I will be free to go get the next clue for the Brown Bag Mystery quilt on Saturday. I thought I would have to wait until Monday due to having a house full of kids this weekend.

How has your week been? Are you planning to sew or quilt this weekend?

Theresa, I'm glad to hear your machine is finally done! I hope it works great now.

We have a family gathering tomorrow. I plan to sew Sunday; I think I'm ready to try sewing at the machine. Before I hurt my shoulder I was planning to take a break from quilting and sew some clothes, so maybe I will do that.

We have a church get together on Saturday night, then church Sunday and our DS & DIL and granddaughter will be coming for dinner. I need to get out and do some yard work - having a baby in the house every day makes it harder to do that during the week! I did manage to put together some Block lotto squares this week and will sandwich that - maybe get some of the quilting done on it.

Linda, I am so sorry you have so many people sick in your family. I hope they find out what is going on with your daughter! Theresa - so glad you will get your machine back - I hope it works perfectly! I have a Pfaff and hate when it has to go into the shop. Donna, take it easy on your shoulder and ease back into it!

Linda, I hope things slow down for you this coming week and that your DD can get some answers.

We have a birthday party to attend tomorrow afternoon and Sunday is taken up with family getting together. So I think tomorrow morning and late Sunday afternoon/evening is the only time I'll have available. But, maybe it'll happen. :-)

I hope everyone has a blessed Easter. DD and I hope to go to LQS tomorrow for some border and backing fabric for her quilt. I'm really happy with the top so far and can't wait to show you all. It's suppose to be 81 tomorrow, so can't wait to continue with my gardening. A final run around the house with a mop and I'll be ready for company on Sunday.

I have been working on this chair for the past several weekends. It is a reupholster for my daughter in law. The glider/rocker belonged to her grandmother and had that burgundy color that we all remember from years ago. Now that it is complete, I hope to get back to my quilting.

I said "WOW" as soon as I saw it, too, Theresa! I can't imagine upholstering a chair like that.

DD and I made it to the LQS and got the fabric, but no sewing now until next week. I really can't wait to show you, I'm so excited about how it is coming out.
