Looks like you have interior stairs that bring you to the living level. Maybe the home

would be interesting if the stairs were on the outside and a small roof/porch were created at the entrance.

I have enlarged the two windows on the right & tried to apply some board and batten vinyl siding.

Not sure the money needed to make this happen would be money that could be recouped in a sale, but I took a stab at it.

Thanks for the idea BeverlyFLA! I was hoping to keep the cost down. The interior is laid out like a raised ranch. So, I think moving the door up would be hard. I think I was concerned most with the slab front of the current design.

I was thinking about adding a gable extension to give the house more depth, but I don't know how much that would cost and the front would still be flat. Do you or anyone else who may read this have any examples of homes with such a flat front? I think it could look modern and upscale, but I don't know where to find better information.

Truthfully, it would be easier to push your home to a MCM style home with that low pitch room and carport. Enlarge your windows and paint the siding.

that was my goal by adding the overhang. I don't know if enlarging the windows would be cost effective. Do you think siding like this could work? Or would the front be too long and flat? I think this is fiber cement siding. Maybe the front could be done in this king of fiber cement siding, paint the side vinyl grey as well (or some other color), paint the vinyl trim around the windows black, and get rid of the awning.

What would you think about that?
