Everything is up and raring to grow!

Thanks to the unusually warm temps we have had in the last 2 months, many of my hosta are getting big already. I sure hope we don't have a freeze. I have already had to cover things twice but it's getting harder to do with the plants getting bigger. I am so excited to see how much they have all grown!

Neptune, City Lights, Spartacus and Goodness Gracious in the back. These should all be huge this year!

And I love Bleeding Hearts!

Please excuse the weeds, I haven't got around to weeding the beds yet.

Nice to see you! I've been good at watching the weather reports and also got them covered for our last two freeze warnings. It does get harder as they get bigger. Your Bleeding Heart is spectacular and a lot farther along than mine.

I also don't see On Stage yet, and Lakeside Paisley Print is barely putting up some eyes. No sign at all of Great Expectations or my new Dancing Queen. Lots of other hostas are unfurling already. .....Does everyone's Curly Fries start out green?

I love Bleeding Heart too!

As of today, there are two MIA hostas: Lakeside Paisley Print and Baby Bunting. I'm particularly sad about that one as it was a gift from dhaven here on the hosta forum. I suppose it may still show up.

I counted seven (7) eyes on the Guacamole that Don gave me last year and four (4) on the Harpoon. Very happy with that!

Popmama, your bleeding heart is gorgeous! I have a few new babies that have sprouted up near my big plant. Gonna have to find a place to put them as they can't stay where they are. I wouldn't give up on LS Paisley Print just yet. Mine is barely showing and it is planted near the ones in the picture above. I think the only ones that I don't see yet are On Stage and Hollywood Lights which are both always late to the party. :)

Thanks, Linda. My bleeding heart has been in the same spot for about 15 years and never made any babies! I wish it would.

I noticed that the spot where LS Paisley Print is planted may have been overrun by some Ajuga I planted. If it doesn't come back, it's my own fault and I will replace and give it a proper place next time. The only other real disappointment is Whirlwind. I see one, yes only one, eye. I suppose one is better than none, but come on! :-)

Ken, It says "Grow" with an exclamation point...not growl...but hey, maybe they will growl. LOL
