Doesn't seem to go fast enough...

We have installed this fan, but even on the highest speed (6th), it doesn't seem to go around very fast and we don't feel the air movement much. Is it an electric issue or is this common with this fan?

    So even on the highest speed this fan only has 43 RPM (rotations per minute) lowest speed is 23 RPM . It is not one of the fastest fans out there but there should be some air movement, even on the lowest speed. 8 inches of clearance between fan and ceiling is required for optimum airflow. For every 2 inches of ceiling clearance below this minimum, air flow decreases by as much as 25%.
