What is the minimum hanging height for this fixture?

Please also explain how the diameter of 40" is measured? That sounds quite large for a 4-bulb fixture.

    Thank you for your interest in our [Leda Pendant Lamp, Polished Nickel Finish, 4 Lights[(https://www.houzz.com/products/leda-pendant-lamp-polished-nickel-finish-4-lights-prvw-vr~76912529). This fixture has entirely adjustable arms, therefore the overall measurements of the length/width is taken at its longest extended size. The measurement fully extended is 40" long and 21" wide. The overall height is adjustable from 25" (minimum) to 53" (maximum) hanging height.
