Door trim to match baseboard/doors??

Are there any rules for matching door trim to doors/baseboard? I am adding new eyebrow arch 2-panel doors such as this: http://www.homedepot.com/p/JELD-WEN-30-in-x-80-in-Molded-Smooth-2-Panel-Eyebrow-Brilliant-White-Solid-Core-Composite-Single-Prehung-Interior-Door-THDJW137200098/203617735. Looking for ideas for door trim that would be consistent with the type of door...or does that not matter? Baseboard is going to be a basic trim such as this: http://www.homedepot.com/p/House-of-Fara-8829-1-2-in-x-5-1-4-in-x-96-in-MDF-Primed-Colonial-Base-Moulding-8829/205426942. Thank you!!

I'd match door trim and baseboards... If it was about door color it would be fine be it wood or painted a different color harmonious with the home.

Thank you so much Porter. I am planning to paint everything (doors, baseboards and door trim) white. I am wondering if there is any specific door trim style that matches the doors more so than others. I have no clue if/when one is consistent style with the other (transitional versus contemporary versus colonial...its all foreign to me!!) Thank you so much!

depending on the style of your home and not knowing I'd do all white on all. We have very similar 6" baseboards as what you are putting in. Very pretty against a wall that is a a couple of shades darker a lovely contrast and pop with the white!

The trim should be included with the door from my experience... that is in terms of style.
