Duplex kitchen help

Want to make this small space feel bigger. Refrig too big? Paint cabinets? Window treatment help? This is a rental property turn hobby for me so budget minded helps.

This is currently occupied by renters that are moving out and I'm going to update and use as a VRBO rental so I can enjoy when needed.

Lighten up space with paint on cabinets, nicer blinds with cloth tape or cute Roman shade, change hood and stove (if possible) to all white. Don't think tenants would think the fridge is too big. Add some shelves above sink for extra needed storage.

Would you go with all white on the cabinets or is that too much white? Love the shelves idea!

Is this a rental that you live in? Or do you own this and rent it out to others? To my eye, I would work on figuring out where to place the items on the countertops. Can some of the stuff be stored in another room? For example, I see a bunch of papers. I would not want them near my sink. Is there a free-standing cabinet that could hold the food items that are on top of the fridge?

I would surely remove that blind. If you need it for privacy I would dress it up with some curtains. Can you post pics of the rest of the kitchen?

I agree on the Kitchen Cabinets Painting. Spray for best fine finish like they were brand new.

You can never go wrong with an all white kitchen. However think about a light color for the bottom cabinets or get nicer hardware. Paint samples are not expensive, try a little experimentation. Here is some inspiration:

Yes, my client went and got brand new hardware for the cabinets. This was an amazing transformation. Make sure to use Enamel for your finish after primer to withstand the high usage and easy cleanup. Prep work is key.
