Tide he powder less sudsy?!

The last few attempts I have had with Tide powders, even their newly(ish) labeled "he turbo" have been horribly sudsy, most notably during the rinses!

I had a $3 coupon and it was on sale and we all KNOW how much I desperately need laundry detergent, ha ha ha...

I got a box of Tide he turbo Mountain Spring powder yesterday. Of course, it smells amazing...leaps and bounds better than Tide "Original" scent powder and Tide with Bleach powder. It is clean, fresh, light and shocking for a P&G product is not sweet, fruity or overly fragranced.

More shocking....little sudsing during the main wash portion (4 pairs of jean, a pair of short, 2 tees and a few socks, 105F, Cottons Universal cycle, WaterPlus) and I got 3 good and clear rinses. Amazing!!

Either it was fluke or P&G has made their he turbo powders low sudsing like their very good he turbo liquids!!

I recently bought a very small box of the original. Gave it to the laundromat, it was so sudsy.

My box of Tide powder is darn near suds free..its about 3 months old. My newer box of Gain with Oxi is also almost suds free.

Oh no, now I want this instead of the A&H powder! How is the scent out of the dryer?

Greeny...the scent out of the dryer is clean and fresh/light. It somewhat resembles old fashioned Original scent tide powder with a hint of something herbal or "Mountain Fresh", LOL.

I like the A&H powder too, but in terms of performance and how fabrics feel after washing and drying...I would go with the Tide!

Thanks Larsi. This sounds really nice.

Something you might be interested in...I was reading reviews of Tide powder on the Tide website, and P&G replied to a negative comment suggesting they try the Tide with a touch of downy clean breeze scent for those that like the older original scent.

They should have left original just that original, instead of changing it then recommend you use Mountain Spring and now Clean Breeze if you want a comparable scent. SO much easier to just leave things along.

Clean Breeze and Mountain Spring were amoung my fav old time Tide Scents along with the REAL original scented Tide with Bleach powder. .sigh....I do have Tide with a touch of softener in Clean Breeze scent, but its not HE. I was never a fan of Larsi's original scented Tide, maybe cause I'm older and enjoyed the real original Tide prior to Larsi's.

Greeny, P&G is full of....kaka...neither Mountain S or Clean Breeze smell anything like Larsi's long lostTide.

I will say Ariel USA that I think is gone or changed was the original Tide.

Yeah...P&G is full of IT!!! Mtn. Spring Tide powder and Clean Breeze powder smell nothing like Original Scent Tide (scent from the 80's to Jan. 2014). They lie thru their teeth!!

P&G used to always reply to complaints about the scent change to April Fresh Downy, by saying to use their AF Downy dryer sheets...as that was the classic AF scent (it was). So what does P&G do???? Change the AF dryer sheet scent to their god awful idea of new April Fresh.

I HATE, HATE P&G. I will only buy a few of their products, and honestly seek out Henkel, Colgate-Palmolive, Dwight, Method, etc....

I'm sorry P&G causes frustration with their scent changes but I personally really like them as they are constantly improving their top-tier products. I think everyone can agree Tide is an excellent performing product line. And a huge bonus for me is they have a 100 rating with HRC. I wonder how all the others compare on the HRC scale?

Colgate-Palmolive, Clorox, SC Johnson and P&G have a 100 on the HRC rating. Does Germany have an equivalent scale? I've always been curious about that.

Greeny. Yes Tide is for sure a good detergent. Need something clean Tide will do it. I try not to judge a detergent by its scent..LOL... I just never understood why those that can't find a Tide scent they like don't just use Tide unscented, afterall either a FS can be used for scent or you can just have the best scent of all...perfume free...just fresh and clean. What could possibly smell better than the fresh scent of clean.

Mama, I totally agree with you!

Thanks for the HRC ratings. I too, ALWAYS look at HRC ratings (especially for big ticket items like appliances and cars...Yay, BMW and Subaru, LOL).

    I am surprised Trump Organization has a 0. I'd expect -99!!!

and most companies by default in Western Europe are fair, equal, educated, not bigoted and human!

    what does HRC stand for?

larsi, can you supply their ratings location? I had no idea they rated consumer items.
