I bought for my mother (a senior citizen) the Kohler Artifacts K-99261. It's her faucet, but I adore it. I am waiting for my own 12-year-old faucet to break and I will get the Artifacts too. I actually like the one you mentioned, K-99260, a little better, but my mother was already freaked out by the expense (she made me tell her how much it cost), and the K-99260 was another $70 or so more than the K-99261 (this was replacing a no-name 10-year-old $89 faucet with no pull-out spray that wobbled until I thought I would scream with frustration every time I used it--I decided to just buy her a new one and not listen to any objections).

The 2 spray settings are fabulous, the water pressure is great, and the faucet sure is a looker. But I initially chose it for my mother because of its ergonomics. An elderly lady who can't push tiny buttons would be able to push the Artifacts' buttons easily, yet they are nicely hidden from view on the underside of the head. When you hold the spray head in your hand it is neither too big, nor too heavy, nor too small. This store had many faucets on display that were attached to water so you could really test them. The Artifacts was definitely the most comfortable to hold. So the ergonomics was why I bought it, but the great spray settings and the appearance were icing on the cake.

My mother's is in polished chrome. I like it, it looks great with her stainless steel sink. It has a great shine that I prefer over the steel version, but that is my personal taste.

One caveat - Kohler has in the last few years had a poor quality control record. Many of their faucets don't last the way they used to. I was told by the store salesman that the Artifacts kitchen faucets are still made in Kohler Wisconsin, unlike many Kohler faucets which are made in China. Idk if this is true, but decided to take a chance. I wanted to warn you of that though.

I was just at the kohler dealér yesterday looking at these faucets. I initially wanted the artifacts, but like you, was looking for brushed nickel. The Vinnata comes in BN, but is a few hundred dollars more, and I think is taller as well. We decided to go with the Bellera in Stainless, as it is similar again, but a few hundred less than the Artifacts. I'm aware, though that this may mean its one of the faucets not made in the US. We'll see what the quality is like; certainly in the floor models, they all felt very good.
