Your roof appears brown so you might go with darker brown or maroon shutters. I can't tell the color of the roof as the lighting makes it look light gray and yet I think it may be brown. What color is your roofing?

You might consider black shutters and a green door. The door however does not need to be a GREEN as in hunter green as typical in shutters. It can be a rich sage green.

Your home is beautiful! Remove the shutters, paint the door a dark red( SW Rustic Red), replace the lamppost with something more traditional, and get professional landscaping. It will be stunning. Adding gray to your home will be a step backwards IMO.

I can tell it's an older home (great bones), But, I guarantee those shutters were not on the house when it was built in 1923. That was someone's idea of "updating." Which is why it reads 70s/80s. I really think it would look amazing without them. If you want to bring a new color to the windows, paint the window trim black.

I think some combinations of grays with a hint of green would look great on your home and update it such as these Sherwin Williams colors.
Analytical gray for the body of the house, useful gray for the trim around doors & windows and adaptive shade for the front door. I also think shutters need to go or either change them out to ones that are the right size and go with a more colonial style.

I would also paint the columns the useful gray.

I would remove the larger shrubs in either side of the door and add some dwarf firepower nandinas in front of the boxwoods coming up to the front of the porch on each side. It would also look nice to have a large magnolia in each side'

Your shutters are not hung properly. They should be attached to the window frame, not the house.
