Much Ado About Nothing

Since I posted about angst regarding seaming my Cambria Windermere counters (which was unexpected), I thought I'd show how they turned out.

One of the two (practically) invisible seams.

Fuzzy picture (egad, I am a terrible photographer), but the above seam is just beyond the sink to the right of the stub wall. The second seam is directly opposite on the left side of the stub wall. Due to shadows I was unable to get a good photo. The fabricator wanted to place the seam down through the middle of the sink. All I could imagine was a poorly done seam that would be in my line of sight every time I was at the sink. I asked if there was a reason that the seams could be placed so the kitchen seam would not be seen from the DR and vice versa. Nope! Voila!

This is (part of) one of the slab cabinet doors on the DR side of the peninsula. I was pleased that the small sample door I saw before ordering was 100% representative of the final! Tiles shown were being considered for BS, but no decision yet. Walls will be finished and painted until I decide.

One more week of final kitchen details (some finish wall prep, appliance/faucet/dispenser/light rails installation, and addition of a panel under the over fridge cabinets), then a week of painting and another week for flooring. Due to holiday scheduling, it will then be an additional 2 weeks before my belongings are delivered. I may just use my queen-sized blow-up bed and live there after flooring is installed! I will have been displaced for 13 months by the time I move in.
