I am wondering why you did not choose a single bath bar.

We just moved into this place. None was our doing. Not sure why previous people thought it was an improvement...

Cover it with a piece of art -- a ceramic plate, tile or tray maybe.

Use the electric to mount a better fixture for the bathroom.

Lower it, patch the drywall, and mount another matching fixture.

That seems a strange decision to replace a center fixture with the two fixtures but I'm glad to know that they didn't decide to just hide the box. At least they didn't bury it inside the wall. I like Beverely's suggestion to replace those fixtures with a single wide one which would better fit the space.

I'm seeing the word temporary, so here's another suggestion: Put a basic louvered grille cover over it so it looks like part of the HVAC system. Bonus if you can paint it the same color as the wall. Of course, getting an electrician to properly fix the problem with an appropriate light for the area is the best solution, but I think if you put any sort of decorative object up there, it will look strange.

You dont even need a bar light - you can go back to any style in the middle. Once the new wires are removed from the center to the left and right you can fix the drywall because they will just be empty holes.

Although - those bar lights are really pretty! If you select a bar light you can possibly leave the holes. And someday a new owner will remove your dated bar light and wonder why the heck you left two holes in the wall.
