Quince, rooting fruiting Quince

I got 8" fruiting quince cutting - Cooke's Jumbo

Cydonia oblonga

. I plan just to stick it into the soil and water it. do i have to put bottle or see thru nylon bag over it or not.

Please, tell me the right way to root it. if those cuttings do root how long will i have to wait to see some fruit on it.
