Anyone else growing peppers?

This is my first year growing peppers, so honestly I'm not totally sure what I'm doing. I'm new to Georgia, and had tried growing them before in zone 4a, and I think it just never quite got hot enough to grow them well.

I'm trying three heirloom varieties. And I started them at different times so that they wont cross pollinate once they start flowering. Because, hopefully I'd like to save some seeds for next year!

My sister bought me some Peter Pepper seeds for Christmas. I started the seeds the end of January. It took FOREVER (around a month or so), and only one of the 20 seeds germinated. So I guess I'm lucky that even one did.

I'm also growing Red Sweet Cherry Peppers that I started April 1st, and Jimmy Nardello Peppers that I started April 10th. I'm a little worried that I started too late with these; I hadn't originally planned to grow more than one pepper. I guess I'll see how it goes, but next year I'll probably start a lot earlier.
