I Got Ribbons!

I entered 7 quilt projects into the local county fair and I got 4 blue ribbons, 2 red ribbons, and one white one! (I didn't even know that they were going to be judging these.) I submitted different types of items for variety, one very small one, a bookmarker, one pillow sham, two wall hangings - one small and one medium - and 3 regular sized quilts. The LQS offered to gather up quilts and do all the work tagging and displaying them, I thought that was very nice of them to go to all that trouble. The powers-that-be at the fair grounds were trying to drum up more interest and participation in that area and I think they did get a lot more than usual due to the LQS staff's generosity. I guess it's a good thing I was clueless about the judging since if I had known, I probably wouldn't have submitted them, I'm such a coward. LOL!

OK, I know I've posted most of these previously but here's pics with ribbons.

I'll go by small to large.

Here's the Bible Bookmarker with blue ribbon.

    Here's Brooksville Sunrise with Blue:

Here's Sunflowers & Butterflies Pillow Sham with Blue:

Here's Tree of Life with Red:

This one is Bear's Paw with Blue:

Garden Path with Red: Notice Sassy had to put her 2-cents worth in.

And finally Drunkards and Wagon Wheels with White:

And I need to find out, I thought white was 3rd place but it might just be Honorable Mention, I didn't think to ask.

I haven't picked them up from the LQS yet, although I'm sure all of these have been posted here previously, I'll see if I can get some shots along with the ribbons if you really want to see them again.

Thanks for the pictures, Rita! Great job on all of them; I particularly like your sunrise.

Don't the ribbons say what they are for? I think green is often used for third and white for honorable mention.

The only thing that is on the ribbons is what you see. They didn't even fill out the tag info. on the backs of them, I had to do that when I got them home so that I would have a record of it for the future. The LQS tagged them with little cardboard ID tags when I dropped them off but they didn't fill them out completely. They had a tear-off ticket with the same ID number that they gave to me to retrieve the quilts after the show.

They're gorgeous, and it's no surprise you won so many ribbons! You certainly deserved them for all that effort :-)

Love them all! Tree of Life should have gotten blue. Thank you for posting the pictures. You may have inspired me to make a Garden Path.
