Nine pints of green beans which I grew myself, cooling on the counter.

So it's time for another 'thank you' from me to all of you, for your help in getting me started.

They are pretty, aren't they? I'm guilty of leaving my canned goodies sitting on the counter maybe just a day or two longer than actually necessary for cooling, just because they are so pretty. Especially the jewel colored jams and jellies, next to the emerald green pickles and the dark purple of pickled beets. Plus, I can show off my hard work!

Congratulations, it's an addictive hobby, and so useful.

I ate some of my canned green beans yesterday and liked them (prior to this I had been freezing them). But I don't like store bought canned green beans.

I am getting some canning experience as I am canning the green beans as I pick every 4 days or so. There is not a full canner load but I would rather can them when they are fresh.
