For durability you cannot go wrong with porcelain wood floors. Laminate wood are also pretty durable but can have issues with moisture.

Tile is readily used as main floors in northern Spain and Italy. Tile floors can be cooler to the touch which is an advantage in warm months. It would be great if you could have a friend or hotel close by let you test their porcelain floors in the winter so you can see how cold they really get. There are radiant heating elements that can be installed under porcelain to help.

Most markets should have porcelains that are competitively priced with laminates so that the decision is more Performance based. We hope this helps.

I feel like snow and tile floors would lead to slippery surfaces. Tho I suppose it would be easier to clean.

Live in PA. Tile is cold on the feet in winter. Thank goodness I only have it in the bathrooms and have to keep rugs on the bathroom floors or stepping on them would be a rude awaking in the winter. You can't beat laminate for durability and ease of cleaning.
