I'd keep the trim white (says the woman who has cream trim and HATES it but is stuck with it because the gutters, etc. are cream). Black shutters would work well with the yellow, I would think. Not sure about the door color, I'll let someone else who knows better answer that one.

Try taking the shutters off the double window downstairs to see if the brick is very discolored or not. Try pressure washing the brick to see if you can get the wall brick to match what's been behind the shutters. That will help you decide whether or not to remove all of them. I'd replace the storm door with a solid glass one so your newly painted interior door will show through. May want to paint the storm and sidelights to match it. Have your considered a charcoal brown for the shutters, if you keep them, and a russet red for the door, so it goes with the brown roof?

I guess I don't know what to say ... you don't really want to change anything, but you're okay changing a very small thing like the trim. I would say then just don't change anything. It doesn't look bad as it is, so unless you really want to change, then just keep it the same. In other words, I don't know what you're considering the "trim" color and how something so small relative to the whole house would really change anything. So you must not want to really change anything, so I say then don't. Are you just looking for permission to not change anything? Then I'm giving it to you.

We've outgrown the house so we need to move, but waiting 3 years for our kids to finish up at their respective schools (so not to move them to new schools). We really don't want to spend the $$$$ for new siding, etc. b/c we're moving, which is why I said we don't want to paint brick/replace siding. I guess I was looking for ideas on door color, or should I consider painting the mullions black, remove shutters, paint the garage doors a contrasting color, etc? I don't know, I lack creativity, and the house is just kinda bland architecture, so probably can't do much with it. Was hoping there was some creative idea out there that I had not considered.

Consider one of the colors below for your trim, shutters and possibly the garage doors, sort of a green/greige. These colors could work well if you are not changing the siding or brick. Definitely remove the shutters from the double windows near the garage. I have never seen shutters like those on your upper level center windows...maybe the answer is to remove all shutters and paint all the window trim. Maybe a pro can chime in here.

Your landscaping looks good...nothing overgrown. Maybe some annuals to add color. For the front door, I would remove the storm door. I can't really see your entry door. Perhaps a color like SW Urbane Bronze or something similar. Add some larger scale lighting to your garage area. Good luck and keep us posted.
