Kitchen Backsplash

I am trying to decide on matte vs. polished for the white subway tile backsplash in our kitchen. We have white cabinets and super white quartzite honed counters. I'm leaning towards the polished to contrast with the honed counters, but my husband wants matte tile. Would matte be too much dullness in the space?
