Adromischus Cristatus and a Haworthia Reinwardtii

Im on one of higher floors but there is minimal obstruction. In the morning the sunlight can get pretty intense.

The windows are facing south.

Adjust them slowly to the higher light and it'll likely be just fine. Maybe the Haworthia can be put a little further away from the window itself, but it should turn reddish before burning if you adjust slowly.

'Filtered light', 'partial shade', 'bright sun' all mean very different things. It's so generic a lot of time it isn't that helpful. There is no quantitative measurement for those terms.

Don't forget that light intensity drops off VERY quickly indoors away from windows.

IIRC, H. reinwardtii can take more sun than some other haws. Not hottest, midday sun, but indoors it may be just right.

I have also A. cristatus and right now it is in best/sunniest spot in the west window (not much sun lately!) It was under lights whole winter - but moved it since I need best light for my veggie starts...It also stays outdoors and in a spot with full sun until about noon.

I was just crazy worried that the plants would get sun burned! I recently had a plant die from that so I didnt want to go through that again.

Dying is all part of the learning process. All of us, including experienced growers, kill plants. =)

Anyway, I think you should be fine. The main concern with window light is not enough sun and pretty much never too much sun (as long as plants are acclimated to the light).

I confess to being a serial and once even a parallel mesemburderer myself.

I used to grow my reinwardtii in full sun too. As well as all of my adromischus.
