I am appreciating the moisture and some of the perennials and trees seem to be appreciating the cool nights but yes this is much lower temps than expected right now. I have Sans outside too.....still outside though closer to the house so hopefully the microclimate is a few degrees warmer. Keeping fingers crossed. I am glad we had a few good rains (not for the Sans, but for the perennials/trees/shrubs). Rains all went just north or just south of me last and several other years.....the drought has killed quite a few things but this Spring we are getting moisture.

Robin, Not worth the praise you given me but thank you. Like you, I also began reading this forum and learned from many who also posted their ideas and learning experience. So we learn and post and learn more.

Well, the frost never hit my area and the low went to 35 again this morning. All the outside plants look fine and no damage to be found. I still had about 50 plants left out and covered and they look fine.

i'm sorry that you have had this cold snap. I have fingers crossed that you have not had damage to your plants. I have been such a chicken, my plants are still waiting indoors. We have had several cold snaps and lots of rain. Surely it will be summery soon. Robin is right, you have been such a great help to everyone.

Stush, HAPPY to hear your plants survived and continue to do well. Spring is definitely on the way. I hope every plant continues to thrive in your care.

Thanks all but I am going to bring all my plants out again today. Since the ones I left out look ok, and the temps are suppose to be in the upper 40's now for the rest of the week. My house is a mess with plants thrown all over the place in a hurry to bring in that if this happens again, well, I think I will just cover them and let the chips fall where they fall.

I've only got eight (large) sans plants on the East side of my porch but the haulin' in and out of these heavy buggers is killing my old body. Back into the 40s again the rest of this month here in SE Michigan. They're coming in tomorrow night and not going back out until June. Jeesh! Thank goodness for Accuweather.

Pat against the house, particularly if somewhat sheltered, may be several degrees warmer than the rest of the yard. Of course you don't want to risk it, but Sans seem to tolerate lower temps outside, especially if just at night, than inside the house in witner.

Note to Chris; Need another 'Streaker'. Lost all mine and I am very upset with myself. Was one of my favorites. This was my worst winter time since I began collecting sans. I know what I did wrong and will never repeat it again. Also lost all my darker Gold Hahnii. Don't know if Russ can get me one.

I'll get you another 'Streaker' Stush. I only have the one plant but there are some pups on it ready soon.

I promised some people here some sans this spring but my stock is looking too poor to send out. Hopefully this summer I can send out some extra Sans I got like Bantel's Sensation, Eve, Whitney, and MoonShine. I also got some regular hahnii and Futura 'Compacta'. They were in my basement and showed some stress signs but are now recovering. My tall sans got no worse nor better but at lest stayed ok. Any one who I promised please be patient with me. I have you on my list.
