The stretched photo thing happens to me as well when I post from my iphone and view the post from my iphone, but I can click to enlarge the photos and then it appears normal. They will also appear normal to those viewing them on a computer.

my phone does the same. Displays pictures in a compressed mode but if you click on them with your finger, they then display normally. Maybe a bandwidth thing?

Oh, :-) programmers sometimes do things in their programs, one reason could be to save on memory or get things to load faster. I don't know all the specifics on this one but I've programmed enough things to know that there's always a reason, it may just be a limitation in what they can do with the type of code they're using.
