Replacing my floor to ceiling windows in a 1955 rancher. Not an atomic style rancher, but modern with a gabled roof and the windows are it's best feature! However, they are thin, leaking and very old and need replacing. I want to do a black interior colour on the living room window, while all other windows/doors in other rooms are white on the interior. The living room sliding door will be 16 feet wide by 7 feet hight. I feel black will frame our view of the forest and give a very contemporary look. There are no other windows currently in the room to compete with it colour wise. Is this a crazy move? Current windows pictured here: We will remove the valance and do drywall returns in place of trim.
