Is My "War Paint" a Dud?

Planted in 2013 I've been waiting for War Paint to mature and show off the coloring it's supposed to have. This year, still all green. I'm beginning to think it's not War Paint at all, but maybe Niagara Falls.

What say you?

If it is Niagara Falls you still have a beauty. Mine is slower then heck but not dead anyway so maybe next year / My War paint is smaller this year then last so not sure if it hated the move I gave it

Yes I have Niagara Falls in my back yard. This War Paint is disappointing! I want bvhosta's!

I had exactly the same experience. I bought it at Mickfields late in the year and it was all green.

The following spring it appeared all green again.

I contacted them to see if this was normal in a young plant.

It wasn't and they sent me a replacement .

I labelled the other one Niagara Falls

Like all good story endings.

We lived happily ever after.
