It is finally time to stain these school bus orange floors! We would like to go with a dark or dark-ish stain with a satin finish. We are not really sure of what options we have. I can't seem to locate a website that shows finishes for a re-sanded/stained red oak floor. Can anyone help with that? Also I'd really like to hear opinions on what you think would look good. Our backsplash is brown glass with crackled white glass in case the pic isn't clear. Our house is about 15 years old, transitional style, our tastes are kinda pottery barn/artsy. We might have to move in about a year for a job transfer & we would have to compete with a bunch of new houses being built around us so I certainly would like our floor to look updated. Thank you so much!!! Oh & I will add that we are also going to put in new hardwood floors in the green painted office after the marble entrance. We are in Charlotte NC if that helps.
