• Your table lamps appear to be a bit too low. They should come to the top of the headboard or taller
• The bedding looks dingy when placed against the headboard. A contrasting color could be a better solution.
• Placing a large rectangular item above the head board would not provide the necessary balance and texture for the room.
• Better to either hang a set of coordinated prints above the bed or perhaps a sunburst plaque
• Another option is to select frame art in pairs for behind the lamps.

very good points, thank you. I like the idea of frame art in pairs for below the lamps. The bedding is too expensive to change at this time. Some is silk and some st Geneve micro modal (my one and only guilty pleasure is great sheets)

OK, I understand why you like the linens. How about just placing 2 European Pillows in a contrasting color to separate the bedding from the headboard.
