I need help with my kitchen!

My kitchen cabinets have a dark wood stain and my floors are terra cotta tile. I can't find a paint color that works well. I have painted my kitchen twice in the last 2 weeks - HELP! The last color was Revere Pewter. The color is very pretty but doesn't look right with the floor and cabinets.

Yes pictures would help and really you need some sort of inspiration for the room. There are a million and one neutrals that can go with a dark stain and terra-cotta. I love Revere pewter but maybe it was a little too grey and cool for your room. Are you adding a rug or any fabric or artwork. Tis can set the room in a direction and help you choose a color. It also helps to know how much wall space you have. A little wall space can handle more color a ton of wall space might look better in a neutral.

Do you think a deeper, darker gray would work or maybe something gray/blue to complement the orange tile?
