Need structure idea for front of house

Trying to look outside the box a bit to come up with an idea for a structure or some look in front of house. We have an open spot between the 3 horizontal windows and the small window. I'd like to tie in the existing cedar possibly. Not really wanting a tree or greenery there. I'd like to be able to make it on our own. My husband is really handy with wood and can weld. Any thoughts or ideas would be great!

Thinking there must be a creative modern portico look that adds some dimension vs. function since it is on the front of the house.

Something such as this in the proper scale?

Paint or face the two bump outs with cedar.

Put a long teak or cedar bench in front of the long stretch of blank wall. This will link to the cedar siding on both sides of the house.
