Are your baseboards really going to get nicked in the same way with a wood floor? i.e., are you really vacuuming it all the time? Because your flooring will be hard to match, and I can't see any other trim color really working than white, especially if you're going to do a white staircase.

Otherwise, you seem ok going basically white and gray with a wood floor -- easy to bring in your blues with rugs and other accents. Probably you don't want more colors in the base finishes though.
