We have been redoing our backyard and we have a steep very sunny slope that we need to plant. My husband would prefer some sort of green ground cover, but I'd like something a little more colorful and interesting. The landscaper has recommended juniper, but I hate juniper (bad childhood associations). Here's a photo, but it's much steeper, sunnier and bigger than it looks in the picture. Any ideas greatly appreciated!
