Drawer style! Imo microwaves over range not aesthetically pleasing. I had one and it prevented me from having vent going out.

Yes definitely microwave drawer. Love ours it's a Sharp brand

that is 3 of us....love my sharp too. I thought it would be weird so low but don't even notice the difference anymore

I plan to go with a microwave drawer, but if you are ambivalent, it might not be worth the extra expense. I have heard they tend to break, and they aren't trivial to replace. I had one of the first Sharp drawers that was actually part of a range. It never broke, but it was in a vacation home and didn't get heavy use.

Depending on your layout options, and how heavy your microwave use it, it might make more sense to put a countertop model that can be easily replaced in an open hutch space.
