Soil Amendment Question

I didn't know any better when I planted all my Mediterranean herbs this year and potted them in a 1:1 organic potting soil : MG cactus mix. I am a little concerned about how long they are staying wet but they seem to be okay so far. Should I amend and re-pot, or wait and see how they do?

And, if I do, would it be all right to just amend to a 1:1:1 of Current Soil : Perlite : Bark Fines in order to use what I already have?

Just which herbs you're growing could make a difference. For example, IIRC, while basil can handle a richer, moister soil, rosemary prefers a better draining media.

If you have any duplicates amongst your herbs, you could experiment a bit by leaving one of them in the current media and repotting the other in a different mix.

Great idea. I have a bunch of seedlings going (thyme, rosemary, basil, chives, oregano, etc) so maybe when I'll wait a bit longer than usual to thin them and try that! Thank you :)
