One is grafted onto the other. While they are in bloom study how the two sections are organized, to see which kind is coming entirely from the roots and cut that one out. Or if you like one color better than the other remove the branches producing the less liked flowers and leave the rest. regardless of which is the stock (roots) and which is the scion (original top at time of purchase).

Thought is could be a graft but it is odd how after years of being just purple it now also has white blooms....

i didnt know L are grafted ... go figure ... seems bizarre for a free suckering plant like L ....

hes saying.. that it has suckered from below the graft ... the roots flower differently than the graft above ...
