Outdoor water feature in Michigan winter?

Really want a nicer fountain than a fiberglass/resin one (unless there are better options than I've found online). Can these jars withstand michigan freeze and thaw? I know the pump comes in. So the rocks on top have to be dug out each fall to pull the pump out of the basin? We're seniors and trying to cut down on all the maintenance. What's our best option in your opinion?

    We've been installing these slate stacked urns for over three years now here in Michigan without a problem due to the winter. We make our basins deeper so the pumps don't need to come out. We also install a discharge valve so draining it in the spring only is a snap. Very user friendly.
