Are 2 too much?

I have wanted to replace my hallway runner rug for a long time. My hallway is a busy thoroughfare. I wanted a rug that was 12-14 feet in length. Since I couldn't find one I liked in that length I bought two 8' rugs. Does it look okay to have 2 rugs in the same hallway. The rugs are identical in pattern and color but I rotated one. Would it be better not to rotate one?

The pattern flows nicely rotated like that. I like them as long as they stay put. The runners in my hallway migrate within their walls quite a bit. :)

I encountered the same problem in my hallway and solved it the same way you have. I actually like it better because it breaks up the long bowling alley look.

I love them like that, and agree with Acdc that having two helps you avoid a long bowling alley look. Very nice!

Thanks everyone. At this point it's unanimous that two rugs work. I'm glad you all think they look nice. If I had thought of using 2 rugs sooner it would have saved me a lot of time searching for 14' rugs.

My previous rug was an 8' traditional blue and red oriental runner. Neither the colors or the style worked for me but my DH thought it was a great rug and saw no point in changing it out. That's probably because he was the one that bought that previous rug.
