My husband and I recently bought a house where the wet bar with a small wine "cellar" is actually in its own room, adjacent to the kitchen. I have never seen something like this before (maybe its common and I just don't know about it?), and it looks like it might've been a laundry room previously. Neither of us drink that often, and we have decided to put a wet bar in the basement for parties when others will drink.

While this doesn't seem like a big deal to me, I'm wondering how much the resale value will be hurt by transforming the room into a space for my dogs. Is having the only wet bar in the basement seem negative for potential buyers in the future? I plan on staying in the home for 10 years.
