Pretty N Sweet

Ok, generally I don't read the gardening forums and usually am over in the home forums. However, this year I decided to grow a garden. Things are coming along great, however we have a Pretty N Sweet pepper plant that has brown/black spots on some of the peppers. This plant started out great and was the first to bloom and grow peppers. Now, it just has small peppers and needs support to stand. So my question is why are these brown spots appearing? Are they going to be red? The soil is a mix of native Dayton, Ohio clay/soil mixed with Scotts gardening soil. They are watered religiously every morning and have full sun from 10-6. Thank you ahead of time!
