Love the fireplace under the tv, but is it too hot for the tv? What is the btu of the fireplace?

The fireplace is 27k BTU's - not quite as hot of some of its competitors. The small trim above the rock, the fact that the t.v. is actually flush (inset on the back), and that is above the clearances allows for the heat to not be an issue. Definitely important to consider all of these items though when designing a t.v. above fireplace.

What is the size of the T.V., thank you. Designing my fireplace for my new construction and we are a family that loves to chill out and watch T.V. together. I'm doing a 50 inch fireplace and wanting to make sure our T.V. isn't too small. Love the look of this room, stunning!

Love this unit! Would you be able to tell me how the T.V. portion and mantel above the fireplace is constructed? Does it require steel studs and cement board?.....I am curious about clearance to combustibles etc. Your response would be greatly appreciated!

Lovely look, but one problem with placing a tv that high on the wall is people have to look up at it from seating. This can produce neck strain, like sitting in front row of cinema. Ideal height for tv is eye level, not up high.
