Nine Primal Screams! That is a lot of orange screaming. You must be an orange lover. It's a great one!

Wow Brad, nine! I have one and really like mine. Hopefully you can post a group shot?

this is in zone 5? Wonder what my daylilies are waiting for ? I am zone 6 a and nary a daylily bloom to be found not counting species like flava , dumorterii and the one unknown yellow .

Has Brad changed his moniker? or is this posted by someone else?

Ha, I'm definitely not Brad, and I'm Zone 5 (Nebraska).

I have a strip in my backyard that I had a symmetrical pattern of plants in, including roses. The roses got sick with RRD, and I had to dig all 6 of them up. Since I have a thing for symmetry, I went out and bought 9 Primal Screams and 9 Caradonna Salvias to fill in each gap.

Here is what it looked like last year right after I planted them:

I'm waiting for all the Primal Screams to be in bloom before I take a new picture, because I'm really hoping for the impact I'm visualizing in my head. The Primal Scream buds are now peeking over the salvia by a few inches, and the purple, orange and lime from the barberry bushes bookending them is quite a neon sight. I have 40 scapes, all heavily budded, so should be soon!

Thanks, everyone!

Great first bloom! Your scapes are full of buds, look forward to seeing the updated picture once all are in bloom.
