Fellow Gardeners:

My name is Phillip and I just want to say its been a privilege to me to become an "American Gardener". I remember our parents have immigrated to US and the sweet summer days growing up as a kid was totally sweet and innocent. My first plants were a red miniature rose and a yellow 4" pompom Chrysanthemum from mom and that was how I got started . And the passion of gardening was history. As a kid, budget was limited, but I was able to learn and sharpen my gardener skills from dozen of "free" nursery catalog. It was simply fun to read and learn about the latest plant introduction.

Since then, the passion grew to a point there is no return. In college, I was the best "go to person" for plant info among my college friends. I am so happy I was able to pick up gardening at such young age and the plants keep me clam in serenity in difficult to deal with situation and many finals. It taught me how to be persistent and it taught me patience, both are valuable powerful lesson in life. The fruit of the labor was so sweet also.

Now that I am grown. International botanical garden visits, local nursery visits are common activity during vacation travel, but most often time I still find best comfort in my parent's garden and the good time growing up. I just started my own little community call Utopian Garden on facebook. Its a place where I drop tip bits or simply share the joy of gardening from day in and day out.
